These Terms are the agreement between you and Velano for using the app. Please read them. By using Velano, you accept them.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Velano. By creating an account or using the app, you confirm you are an adult and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Velano.
Velano provides AI companions you can chat with for companionship and entertainment. Your companions are artificial intelligence, not real people. Their messages are generated by software and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not to your taste. Velano is not a source of professional advice and is not a crisis, medical, legal, or financial service.
To keep Velano safe, you agree not to:
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
You keep ownership of the messages you send. You grant Velano a license to store, process, and transmit your content to operate and improve the service — including sending it to our AI providers to generate replies and to maintain memory, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you submit. Companion-generated messages are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.
Companion responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. Do not rely on them for factual accuracy or for professional advice of any kind. You use companion output at your own discretion and risk.
We may review, filter, or restrict content and use automated and human moderation to enforce these Terms and protect users. We may act on violations without prior notice where necessary to protect people or comply with the law. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for content that exploits or endangers minors.
Some features may require payment now or in the future. Any purchases are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, including their rules for renewals, cancellations, and refunds. Prices and offerings may change. Where a purchase is made, the applicable details will be shown to you before you buy.
You may stop using Velano and delete your account at any time in Settings → About → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.
Velano is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that companion output will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velano and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold Velano harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing here limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under the law where you live.
We may update these Terms as Velano evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Velano after changes take effect means you accept them.
