Delete Your Account & Data

You can delete your Velano account and its associated data at any time — directly in the app, or by request if you no longer have the app installed.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

Open Velano and sign in.
Go to Settings (gear icon) → About.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and personal data are deleted immediately, and you are signed out.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your Velano account:

Email support@velanoapp.com with the subject "Delete my account and data." Please send it from the email address associated with your account so we can verify the request.

We verify the request and permanently delete the account and its personal data within 30 days (typically much sooner). We'll confirm by email when it's done. There is no charge.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

Your account and profile (name, pronoun, age bracket, language)
All of your conversations and messages
All companion memory built from your conversations
Your device and push-notification tokens
Your product-analytics data and any session recordings (erased from our analytics provider, PostHog)
Advertising/attribution identifiers linked to you

What we may keep, and for how long

For legal compliance and to keep the service safe, we may retain a minimal, anonymized record after deletion — with your account identifiers removed so it can no longer be linked back to you:

No conversation content is retained beyond what is described above. Anonymized records cannot be tied back to you or your account.

Note: Deleting your Velano account does not delete the Apple or Google account you may have used to sign in. To manage those, use Apple ID or Google Account settings.
